Unblocking by the search method

6. A drop-down menu appears. Now click on the privacy tab with the lock icon.

The website of Instagram also allows its users to unblock other Instagram users if needed. The steps are different and you must note them carefully. 

1. Firstly, visit www.instagram.com
2. From the website, log in to your Instagram account. Enter the right username and password
3. Now, search for the blocked account’s username in the Search bar
4. From the list of results, click on the one which you intend to unblock
5. Once you click on that account, you would be taken to their Instagram profile
6. A blue coloured option saying “unblock” would appear on their profile
7. Click on it
8. Next, a confirmation box will appear. You can tap on unblock or cancel as you want 
9. Once unblocked, a short notification would pop up on your screen. Dismiss it
