Where are my YouTube Videos?

Users that are new to the platform often ask “Where are my YouTube videos?” after uploading their content. Follow these steps to find your YouTube videos: 

  • Open your browser and go to www.youtube.com
  • Sign in to your account by entering your username and password. If you do not remember your username, you can use your email id that is linked to your Google account and sign in to your YouTube account with that. 
  • You will see an icon on the upper right corner of the screen. Click on it to get the profile menu. In case you did not set an icon for your profile picture, then your name initials will be used as the profile picture instead. You will see a colored circle with your initials in the center.

  • Select the option “YouTube Studio (Beta)” from the profile menu. YouTube Studio (Beta) is only available on desktop for Chrome, Firefox and Opera web browsers.

  • You will see a sidebar menu on the left. Click on “Videos”. You should be able to see a list of your videos. 
  • Go through all the videos you have uploaded. All of your videos will be displayed in the middle column. The right column shows whether you have set the privacy settings to public or private while uploading a video. You will also be able to see the number of likes, dislikes, views and comments on each video. 
  • You can view the video details by clicking on the video title. 
  • When you click on the “Analytics” button, you will be able to see in-depth details and video analysis for your videos. There will be four more tabs here: 
  • First is the “Overview” tab that shows you general information about your video. It shows the number of views, watch time, audience engagement and watch level, likes, dislikes, subscribers, new activity, etc. 
  • The second is the “Reach Viewers” tab. This tab shows analytical data through graphs. You will be able to see video impressions (number of times viewers saw your video thumbnail), new viewers, click-through impressions (how many people clicked on your video after seeing the thumbnail), how is the audience finding and reaching your video. 
  • Next is the “Interest Viewers” tab. It shows the watch duration of your video after it was uploaded as well as the average watch time. 
  • Lastly, the “Build and Audience” tab shows geographic data i.e. which areas do your viewers belong to. It also shows the number of average views per viewer. 
  1. Once you have gone through all of your videos and have satisfied yourself, you can click on the back arrow to go back to the list of your videos on YouTube.
