Creating and Managing Playlists on YouTube
You might not know this but there are more than one ways to create and manage your playlists on YouTube, based on the devices you use to access your account. Before you can ask “Where are my playlists on YouTube?”, you need to know how to make playlists.
Saving a Playlist:
Playlists that appear in search results can be saved by anyone as their privacy is set to Public.
- Open a video from the playlist
- On the right side of your desktop screen, select the playlist
- Tap ‘Save Playlist’
- If you are a mobile user, you can simply go to More on the playlist and click Save Playlist.
Creating a Playlist:
If you don’t want to save an entire playlist, you can create your own with the videos you like.
- Find the video you want to add in your playlist
- Click the save icon below the video
- From the options, you can choose ‘New Playlist’ to create a new one
- Choose a suitable name for your new playlist and set the privacy settings. If you set it to Private, only you can access or edit the playlist
- Click ‘Create’ to finish setting up
- Now you can go to your Library whenever you want to access it.
Editing a Playlist
You can also make changes to an already existing playlist by following these steps:
- Open the playlist in your library that you want to edit
- Click the edit icon in front of the section you want to change
Deleting a Playlist:
You can remove saved playlists or delete the ones you created yourself. Deleting a playlist won’t delete the videos; they will only be removed from the playlist. Follow the steps below:
- Go to Library
- Open the playlist you want to delete
- Tap the More option
- Select Delete Playlist
- Select Delete
If the deleted playlist was set to Public, it may still exist in other users’ libraries if they’ve saved it. However, it won’t be visible in search results anymore.
Where are my Playlists on YouTube?
Playlists in YouTube are always saved in your Library so, if you can’t find the one you are looking for, you need to look again carefully. There is a possibility that you might have missed it before. To find your playlists on YouTube in your computer, just go to Guide (three Lines) and then go to your Library. You can access your playlists from there.
If you still can’t find the playlist, then it didn’t get saved in the first place. You need to go back and save it again.
