Step 1: When the app opens, search for the blocked account by typing it in the search bar. 

Step 2: Go ahead and click on the right account. That will open their main account feed. 

Step 3: Typically, when you do this for an unblocked account, you would see the "Follow" option. But since you blocked the account, the "Unblock" option will appear. Fear not; go ahead and tap on the button.

Step 4: As you do that, a prompt will give you a caution. It'll give you the option to "Cancel" your action.

Step 5: When you're sure about it, go ahead and tap on the "Unblock."

Step 6: The app will confirm by showing a prompt that you unblocked that account. Also, it'll let you know that you can still block them in the future if the need arises. Finally, tap on "Ok." 

Congrats! You succeeded in unblocking that account.

Unblock Through Instagram Settings

Unblocking by making use of Instagram Settings can seem very tricky. In contrast to the first method where you manually searched for the blocked account, all blocked accounts will appear altogether.

Additionally, the method before also works on a desktop or laptop browser, while this one only works through a phone. If all of that's clear, once again, open the Instagram app. 

Step 1: Go to the bottom right of the screen and open the "Profile" section. It'll have the picture you chose as your display picture. 

Step 2: Your account page will open up. Head to the top right of the screen and click on the stacked lines. That's the Menu option.

Step 3: A list of options will slide in from the right side of your screen. Go to the bottom of the screen and tap on the "Settings." 

Step 4: Once you enter the "Settings" menu, you'll see the lock icon. That is the "Privacy" menu. Go ahead and tap on that.

 Step 5: Now, you can see three subsections. The "Private Account," "Interactions," and "Connections." Swipe down to "Connections" and tap on the "Blocked Accounts" with the X mark in a circle.

Step 6: Once you do that, a list of all the blocked accounts will show up on your screen. From here, search for the account that you wish to unblock.

Step 7: As and when you find that account, you would see the "Unblock" button in front of the account's name. 

Step 8: Finally, when you're sure about it, go ahead and tap on it to unblock that account.
